We are a worldwide team of career educators, and our company has been helping students get accepted to selective degree programs since we offered our first prep courses in 1999. Manhattan Review students become familiar with and proficient in all of the various types of TOEFL exercises, some of which test individual skills and some of which evaluate the ability to synthesize language abilities. Our TOEFL clients also become expert test-takers with strategic approaches to the exam. Learn more about how Manhattan Review can help you with your TOEFL scores and academic English by contacting us today. Representatives from our Bangkok office are available to answer your questions online, by phone, or by email.

Manhattan Review's TOEFL prep courses and private tutoring have accommodated even the most ambitious of students. Our TOEFL clients have become undergraduate or graduate students at world-class institutions such as Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the California Institute of Technology, Oxford, Cambridge, King's College London, and the London School of Economics. Our TOEFL students develop the language skills needed to eventually secure employment in English-speaking countries, and they've been hired by Fortune 500 firms such as Proctor & Gamble, Twenty-First Century Fox, World Fuel Services, Bank of America, and Lockheed Martin. Some of our past Bangkok students have moved back to the city after finishing their degree programs, and they now work for local companies such as Design Worldwide Partnership, Eureka Sports, Siam Future Development, CAT Telecom, and Thai Life Insurance. A successful professional life requires long-term planning. Take advantage of Manhattan Review's Bangkok TOEFL prep services, which will give you an edge in your degree program.

Educational Testing Service (ETS), the administrator of the TOEFL, does not set passing scores for the TOEFL, and this allows universities, schools, departments, and degree programs to establish the standards that best fit their needs. Factors that can affect TOEFL expectations include degree level, type of admission, institutional selectivity, and subject-matter emphasis. Graduate students are sometimes expected to produce higher scores than undergraduates, but this is not always the case. Applicants for teaching assistantships must usually show outstanding skills on the TOEFL speaking section. More selective universities generally require higher scores than less selective universities, and some departments expect their applicants to do well on TOEFL sections that reflect important skills for those academic disciplines. Despite the great deal of variety in TOEFL requirements, we can say that most students will be able to secure full admission with a total score of 100 and individual section scores of 25 each. Students who fail to meet TOEFL benchmarks may be required to take remedial English classes, or their applications may be rejected altogether.
